BELIEF

Assalamualaikum w.b.t

                                                  ~Bismillahirrahmanirrahim~

Being able to re-write about my past times and what I have learned, sharing my knowledge is all I’ve been thinking about when I want to create this blog. I have this problem with being ‘istiqamah’. But I believe that  I will still strive as a Muslimah even without having much knowledge of my own religion like those who went to religious school. Without further ado, let us move on today’s topic…

BELIEF.

I think it’s quite normal.. belief as said in the Oxford Dictionary means ;
1.    A strong feeling that somebody or something exists or is true; confidence that somebody or something is good or right.
2.    An opinion about something; something that you think is true
3.    Something that you believe, especially as part of your religion

In this context of today’s blog, I will pick all of them. Why? Because when we believe Islam as my religion, every single thing that is shown by our Prophet (saw), our opinion would be, yes, this is true, this is the only religion that is true.
I wouldn’t go any further on saying HOW true my religion is because you can just look it up on google. Yes, you might some scoundrels typing that Islam is terrorism… That’s just because THEY don’t know ABOUT their own religion. Sorry to say, I am just stating what I BELIEF in.
Move on.. (sorry if my language seems harsh at times ^_^)

In today’s world, what exactly do we believe in?
My question might puzzle some of you who are Muslims, yet did not have quite as many supposed to be knowledge that an authentic Muslim should have. Forgive me, but this topic must be pushed to the public.
As I was reading Imran N.Hossein’s work on Dreams In Islam, he keep saying that the scholars this days are just making facts out of the westerns rules and ideology of materialism. We simply just put aside our believe on transcendental phenomenons, such as dreams! In his introduction he also said that :
One of the sign of the last age, i.e., before the end of the world, is the absence of knowledge (of Truth and, therefore of Islam.) Our widespread ignorance of the subject of ‘Dreams’ and the important place which ‘Dreams’ occupy in Islam, (as well as the widespread ignorance of the subject of the Prohibition of Riba in Islam), is yet another indication that the last age has arrived!’
I know some of you readers are very, very, VERY, VERY, confused right now..
I don’t blame you, to understand something, we have to think about it, do some research and tawaqqal for the knowledge to come slowly to us by Allah’s will.
We have to BELIEF in order to do that.
Do we belief of these knowledge?
Yes, every single one of us does, we believe in the existence of Islam, we believe in it’s ways. Yet, why didn’t we do the ways that Islam wants us to do? Have we not learn enough in our schools? Didn’t our ustaz and ustazah told us to do prayer, seek the good, avoid the bad, don’t socialise etc. etc.?
We have to ask ourselves again this following questions :
1.    Am I a full time Muslim?
2.    If so, why didn’t I cover my aurat?
3.    If I did, why do I still socialise in the name of ‘friendship’?
4.    Even if I control my relationship with people, why do I still hurt them?
The questions will keep trailing you to the graves.. (believe me, I still reminisce about my past mistakes.. It’s awful.. the feeling when you done something bad).

Conclusion (for now because I know I’m leaving my readers with questions, hehe)
For now, let just ask ourselves first, if we truly believe, then why not we do it? If we truly said we do it, is it for real?
“ Oo true Believers! Why have you said something that you have not done? That is the most hateful thing by Allah if you said something that you have not done.”
As- Saff : 2-3
A reminder for myself and for all of us. Wallahualam.
